How to Choose an Attorney--Part 4

Make sure the attorney you want is the one you get.

Like I said yesterday, some firms will advertise one attorney and then place you with another one.  It's important that you be able to choose not only the law firm, but also the attorney you'll be working with.  If your law firm pulls the bait-and-switch, and places you with an attorney you don't want to work with, don't put up with it.  Insist you have the attorney you want.  If they won't cooperate, find another law firm that's more cooperative.
